Realtracs, the technology company providing the largest multiple listing service (MLS) in Tennessee, is honored to have been selected by the Nashville Business Journal as one of 2023’s Best Places to Work. From more than 40 overall organizations in the Nashville area, and just seven in the “medium” category (25-49 employees), Realtracs was recognized as one of the city’s premier organizations with “positive work environments, bosses who inspire their teams and the ability to have fun while finding success across all parts of the business.”
The outlet posted a full list of the companies recognized in a special section last month and held a ceremony to celebrate the nominees on October 24th.
Culture is key to employee satisfaction
The Realtracs culture starts and ends with one principle – we take care of one another. It’s also a culture built on trust, respect, and a genuine focus on the well-being of our employees and an understanding that happy, fulfilled employees lead to higher productivity and better business outcomes. This belief is woven into every facet of the company, from hiring practices to daily operations.
Since our first day, we’ve known that, in order to build the best MLS experience, we need people who have a passion for taking care of others and take pride in their work. It’s easy to produce a reliable product when we have dependable people on our team.
Why Realtracs made the NBJ list of Best Companies
To select the 40 organizations across the Nashville area, Nashville Business Journal accepted nominations by the public. Then, NBJ asked companies to complete online employee surveys to gauge 10 key categories. The companies were then ranked, and winners were chosen in each category (small, medium, large, and giant) by composite scores.
Once Realtracs was chosen as a winner, the publication asked us to participate in the following Q&A to learn more about the organization:
How our workweek has changed: In response to feedback from our support staff, we recently reorganized their schedules to work longer daily support hours four days a week (versus shorter hours five days a week) to give each of them an extra day off during the week, and they love it!
Fictional character we’d hire: We have a lot of “The Office” fans, and there are so many great characters, but since we love to have fun together, we think Dwight would definitely provide a ton of humor!
New hire must-have: You must be a person who refuses to let your teammates down. Ideally, it’s because you consider them a friend. We will have your back and we need to know that you will have ours.
What our employees want: To work in a kind, caring and positive environment where everyone is amply rewarded for their achievements, treated like family, and encouraged, not only through words but also actions, to continually learn and grow both professionally and personally.
A milestone that speaks volumes about its commitment to its employees and its dedication to fostering an environment where professional growth, innovation, and job satisfaction converge harmoniously.

Their ethos revolves around the understanding that happy, fulfilled employees lead to higher productivity and better business outcomes. Realtracs thanks NBJ for this significant honor
Realtracs would like to convey deep appreciation for the acknowledgment by the Nashville Business Journal and the community and recognize it as a significant honor. But the true sense of accomplishment lies in having a team whose genuine enthusiasm and dedication revolve around serving Tennessee real estate agents.
The culture cultivated by the leadership team isn’t solely about celebrating achievements but is centered on fostering an environment that encourages personal growth, nurtures a sense of camaraderie, and supports professional success. This commitment is what sets the company apart and contributes significantly to the overall well-being and prosperity of the team.
